Say what you need. Builder makes the agent.
Builder is the agent in Definable that builds and fixes your other agents. Describe the job in plain words and it sets up the instructions, models, apps, approvals, skills and schedules, asks when something is unclear and before anything that takes effect at once, and tries the agent before you publish. It never publishes on its own.
How Builder works
Builder is an agent whose job is making your agents. You say what the work is; it sets the agent up, tests it, and leaves publishing to you.

- 01
You describe the job
In plain words, in a chat. Builder asks one or two pointed questions when something is unclear, each with the answer it recommends.
- 02
It sets the agent up
Instructions, models, apps, approvals, skills and schedules. Every change lands in a draft, and anything that takes effect at once, it asks about first.
- 03
It proves it works
A dry run on real questions, where actions don't really happen, then eval cases until they pass.
- 04
You publish
Builder never publishes. You read the draft, press Publish, and new chats run the new version. When an agent later files a report, Fix with Builder picks it up.
Builder FAQ
What is Builder?
The agent that builds and fixes your agents. It asks when something is unclear, with the answer it recommends, drafts the agent part by part and tries it before you publish. It never publishes on its own. Builder is on every plan, Free included.
Do I need to write code?
No. You describe what the agent should do and Builder sets it up: instructions, apps, approvals, skills and schedules. It tries the agent on a few questions as a dry run, where actions don't really happen, and you publish when you're happy.
How do I change an agent safely?
Edits go into a draft; people keep talking to the published version until you publish. Each version keeps its own model, skills and sandbox settings. Before you publish, evals run on the draft and show anything that got worse.
Who pays for model usage?
Calls made with your own provider keys are billed by your provider, never by us. Builder, the agent that builds agents, runs on our keys on every plan.
