Agents that work in 1,000+ apps

Apps in Definable are the 1,000+ tools your agents can work in, from Gmail and Slack to GitHub, HubSpot and Notion, connected through Composio. Sign in to each app once, choose what each agent may do there, and decide whether it acts on your account or on each customer's own.

The app catalog in Acme's demo workspace: search and categories filter it, an app connects through its sign-in window, and each action has its own Needs approval switch.

How apps work

Agents work in the apps your team already uses, over 1,000 of them, from Gmail and Slack to GitHub and Notion. Sign in once, then choose what each agent may do there.

  1. 01

Sign in, no keys to copy

Most apps connect through the provider's own sign-in page; a few take an API key. A connection is yours until an admin shares it with the workspace.

  2. 02

    Your account, or each customer's

Per agent, an app runs on your account for everyone, or each customer connects their own the first time it's needed. It never falls back to yours.

  3. 03

Risky actions wait for a person

Pick actions one by one, like Send email or Delete file, and the agent asks before each call. Approve or deny in the chat, or reply YES or NO on a channel.

  4. 04

    Events start the work

Triggers such as a new email or a new pull request start a run, with your prompt for what to do with each event. Subscribe from the agent's Settings.

Apps FAQ

  • Which apps can agents use?

Over 1,000, through Composio: Gmail, Slack, GitHub, HubSpot, Notion, Google Sheets and many more. Apps can start an agent too: a new email, a new row or a webhook can trigger a run.

  • How do agents use my apps safely?

You connect each app yourself, or each customer connects their own account. Actions that write or send can wait for a person to approve them, and every call is in the trace.

  • Can each of my customers connect their own accounts?

Yes. Set an app to use the customer's account, and each person connects their own on the agent's web app. The agent never falls back to yours.

  • Can I connect my own MCP servers?

Yes, any remote MCP server over HTTPS (Streamable HTTP or SSE), with no auth, a bearer token, an API key header or OAuth. Local stdio servers aren't supported.
